Bulldog Cross Country Concludes Another Strong Season

What began on a warm, sunny day in June ended on a cold, rainy day in October. The 2019 New Albany Gentleman Striders wrapped up the competitive season with a moderately surprising 10th place finish in the southern semi-state. This is the same finish position as the 2018 team. Boys Cross County Advances to Semi-State Meet

In any season there is bound to be one performance that is a dud. That performance came for the boys cross country team in the regional meet at Crawford County High School. Despite the poor performance the team managed a 3rd place finish. The bulldogs were lead by junior Greg Schindler and freshman Aaron Lord.

The IHSAA cross country state tournament opened with a chilly morning at Crawford County High School. For the 4th year in a row New Albany placed 2nd and advanced to the regional. Angelo Gonzalez lead the bulldogs with a 6th place finish. Greg Schindler placed 13th. The bulldogs then saw 3 freshman–the top 3 freshman
