Summer Schedule

New Albany Floyd County Schools will open athletic facilities for all sports beginning on Monday, July 6, 2020, thru Friday, July 24, 2020. Summer workouts/ conditioning programs are voluntary and open to all students. The official start for fall sports is August 3rd. Those students that do not attend July workouts may still tryout for teams on August 3rd.

Forms Necessary

In order to participate in summer workouts/conditioning programs, student-athletes must have the following forms below on file with the New Albany athletic department. If you need a copy of the forms click the on the title of the form needed, complete the form, and bring it with you on July 6th.

  1. IHSAA Physical (You do not need a new physical. Last years IHSAA physical will roll over)
  2. IHSAA Health History Update

 

Important Information

  • All athletes will have their temperatures taken and recorded each day. Students with a temperature at or higher than 100.4 will need to return home. A coach will call a parent/guardian to inform them and have the athlete picked up if necessary.
  • All athletes will be required to bring their own water bottle, towel, etc. and the athlete’s name must clearly be written on the water bottle.
  • Coaches will be wearing a mask during summer workouts/conditioning. Masks for athletes is optional

Athlete Expectations 

  1. Do not attend workouts if you are not feeling well, have a fever, or have recently been exposed to the COVID 19 virus.
  2. Do not attend workouts if you have been exposed to COVID 19 until you have gone through the proper quarantine which is 14 days from the time of exposure.
  3. Wash workout clothes after each day’s session.
  4. When not working out, keep a reasonable distance from teammates when possible.
  5. Wash hands after using the restroom.
  6. Do not share water bottles, gloves, or other workout items.
  7. Make sure your ride, if necessary, is here when the workout is finished. Students should not be congregating while waiting for their ride home.
  8. No parents will be allowed during workout/conditioning sessions.
  9. We will not be monitoring students’ transportation to and from workouts. If an athlete is riding to and from workouts with another athlete, all parents should be aware and grant permission.
