Boys Varsity Cross Country, Boys Varsity Track · In their own words

With no results to post New Albany track/cross country will feature a current athlete “In Their Own Words”, a reflection of their time on their team of choice. This week we feature freshman Aidan Lord

Achievements include: scoring member of 2020 semi-state qualifying team.

When did you start running: I started running in 3rd grade when I joined the cross country and track team; I have run ever since. I decided to join to try it out and really enjoyed the sport and the atmosphere.

Track or Cross Country: I definitely prefer cross country over track due to the fact that I am an endurance based runner and have less speed.
Hoodie or quarter zip: Pullover with hood.
Best team dinner: My favorite team dinner meal is taco bar.
My favorite memory so far has for sure been when we got to attend semi-state, it was a great experience to have especially being able to run as a freshman.
Best race: The best race I had this season was the HHC where I achieved my season PR of 17:23.
When we return: I am looking forward to running with my friends and teammates.
Why join this team: I think that everyone who is capable should come out and run because we have a lot of fun and it is something that will keep you very healthy mentally and physically.
